EUREKA SCIENCE FESTIVAL


The EUREKA Science & Technology Festival is taking place from the 12th—17th of November 2018 as part of Science Week. The festival will be formally launched at the Institute of Technology Carlow. The festival was established to pro-mote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathe-matics) topics, subjects, and career opportunities to various demographic groups. Events include active learning work-shops, interactive seminars, exhibitions, demonstrations, a STEM themed cake competition, debates, and a movie view-ing. The three major themes for EUREKA 2018 are Climate Change, Space and Celebrating Women in Engineering.

The festival was established to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) topics, subjects, and career opportunities to various demographic groups. A wide range of events and activities is planned for Science Week, which runs from 12th – 19th November 2017 and will be formally launched in the Institute of Technology Carlow on Monday 13th of November. Events include, active learning workshops, exhibitions, demonstrations, interactive seminars, STEM themed cake competition, debates, a STEM table quiz, movie and a fireworks display.

Eureka is delighted to offer a range of specially developed events for School Children and Teachers. Six fun filled days of experiments and information helping children build and improve their knowledge about the world around them.

The festival is widely open to all schools in Co.Carlow, Co.Wicklow, Co.Kildare, Co.Kilkenny, Co.Laois and Co.Wexford.
